Chapra: With the announcement of the date of graduation and teacher elections, the model code of conduct has been implemented in the district. DM cum Assistant Returning Officer Vaibhav Srivastava said these things in a meeting organized with political parties.
He said that the code of conduct is automatically considered applicable as soon as the press note is issued by the Election Commission of India. In Saran, the election of Legislative Council member is to be held only under the teacher constituency.
For this, the Commission has notified Saran Commissioner Manish Kumar as Returning Officer and the District Officer-cum-District Election Officer and Secretary to the Commissioner as Assistant Returning Officer of the five districts under the region, namely Saran, Siwan, Gopalganj, East Champaran and West Champaran. He told that the nomination form will be filed in the Commissionerate office.
There will be strict compliance with the code of conduct
SSP Roshan Kumar said that all the rules of the code of conduct for general elections will remain applicable in this election also. He called upon all people to cooperate with the administration in making the elections peaceful, participatory, undisputed and successful.

Giving information about the calendar released by the Commission, Deputy Election Officer Javed Ekbal said that for teacher elections.
Notification will be issued on 29th September. Nominations will be taken till 6th October, scrutiny on 7th October, withdrawal of nominations on 9th October, voting on 23rd October and counting of votes on 27th October.
Explaining the process of nomination in detail, he said that it is necessary for the name of the candidate to be included in the voter list of any assembly constituency of the state. Whereas the names of its 10 proposers should be included in the voter list prepared for the respective elections. If any kind of criminal case is registered, its information will have to be given in the appropriate form.
Also, it will be mandatory to publish this statement three times in two newspapers and two news channels from time to time. He gave detailed information about various forms to be filled at the time of nomination.
Appeal for cooperation from political parties
The DM appealed to the representatives of political parties for cooperation so that a better image of Saran could be created before the Commission. DDC Laxman Tiwari, Congress’s Kumar Vishal, BJP’s District President Ranjit Kumar Singh, BSP’s District President Manoj Ram, JDU’s District President Baidyanath Prasad Singh Vikal and IN Prabhash Shankar, LJP’s RK Mrityunjay Kumar Singh, RJD’s Upendra Kumar, CPI(M)’s Akhilesh Kumar, RLSP’s Bigan Manjhi etc. were present in the meeting.
